⚠️ HarnessFlow requires a desktop browser for full interaction. Canvas drawing and drag operations are not supported on touch screens.

How to Use HarnessFlow

We have several wire harness examples ready to try:

  1. Click Examples to browse available harness configurations.
  2. Choose a harness. Option 4 (Shielded Twisted Pair) is a good starting point.
  3. Click Run to simulate – computes the capacitance and inductance matrices.
  4. Click Export to generate and download an S-parameter model compatible with HyperLynx, ADS, or the S-Param to PSpice tool.

What Does HarnessFlow Calculate?

  • Capacitance and inductance matrices (Method of Moments)
  • Dielectric conductance losses
  • Radiation resistance and series wire resistance
  • Skin effect and shield transfer impedance
  • Full S-parameter model over a specified frequency range and harness length

Accuracy

Verification testing shows capacitance within 1% of analytical equations. Inductance is derived from the MTL capacitance matrix using a TEM-mode assumption. Other parameters use analytical approximations for fast, reliable results.
